The half-day jungle trek is an easy trip into the Sumatran jungle, where you’ll discover its beauty and wildlife. If you’re lucky, you might encounter orangutans, other monkeys, and learn basic facts about local trees, plants, and flowers.

• This trek offers a basic introduction to Gunung Leuser National Park and is ideal for families with small children, individuals with health issues who cannot manage longer walks, or those short on time or budget.

Minimum and maximum number of participants per trek:

• Minumum: 2 person
• Maximum: 8 person

Note: If you are a solo traveler and prefer not to pay for an additional person, we can assign you to another group upon request.

Half-Day Jungle Trek Description

What awaits you during the trek:

• Pick-up from your guesthouse at 9:00 AM.
• Approximately a 40-minute walk to Gunung Leuser National Park.
• Observe orangutans and other wildlife.
• Return by foot or by an adventurous traditional raft (surcharge 10 EUR).
• Total trek duration is approximately 3 to 4 hours.

WHAT’S NOT INCLUDED

• Traditional rafting after the trek can be added for a fee of 10 EUR per person.

PAYMENT TERMS

• Deposit: 30% of the total price by one of the payment methods listed below.
• Balance: Before the start of the trek in cash or one of the payment methods listed below.

POSSIBLE PAYMENT METHODS

• Transfer to Indonesian bank account: We only use SWIFT, not IBAN, but if you have Revolut, the transfer is possible.
• Card: We use Stripe to enable secure payment via link. Neither we nor anyone else can see your payment card details. A regular card, Apple Pay or Google Pay can be used for payment.
• Revolut: Payment between Revolut accounts or from Revolut to our Indonesian bank account.
• PayPal: A 3% transaction fee will be added to PayPal payments. The other payment methods mentioned above are free.

CANCELLATION CONDITIONS

• 10 or more days before the trek: Full refund of the deposit.
• 3 to 10 days before the trek: 50% refund of the deposit.
• 0 to 2 days before the trek: Deposit forfeited.
• By trek operator: Full refund of the deposit.

Note: For serious reasons for cancellation, such as an accident, you will receive a full refund upon presenting the relevant receipts, regardless of when you cancel.
